Assembles a .gitignore from bundled templates for 29 languages, frameworks, editors, operating systems and tools. Tick the ones your repository uses, add your own patterns, and the preview merges everything into one file with section headers and repeated lines removed. The templates ship with the page, so nothing is fetched while you work.

Good to know. Every line is trimmed, so indentation inside templates is not preserved. Patterns follow standard gitignore matching: a trailing slash matches only directories, a leading slash anchors the pattern to the repository root, and a later line beginning with an exclamation mark can re-include a path.
