Builds a random password from the character groups you select and shows how much entropy it carries, so you can see why a rating is what it is. It is meant for anyone creating a new login, service credential or temporary password who wants the choice made by a cryptographic random source rather than by habit.
Length 16 with all four groups on, then length 16 with only Lowercase on
All four groups: drawn from 88 characters, about 103 bits of entropy, rating Very Strong. Lowercase only: drawn from 26 characters, about 75 bits, rating Strong.
Good to know. The password and rating only refresh when you generate again. Moving the slider or a switch updates the entropy line immediately, but the displayed password stays the same until you press the button. If no group is selected the page shows an error asking you to pick one.
