About CSS filter generator

Combine nine CSS filter functions with sliders and see the combined effect on a built-in sample panel. The tool emits a single filter declaration that skips every function you left at its neutral value. It is a quick way to find the numbers for image hover effects, disabled states and duotone-style tweaks.

How to use it

1. Move any of the nine sliders: Blur, Brightness, Contrast, Grayscale, Hue rotate, Invert, Opacity, Saturate and Sepia.
2. Watch the sample gradient and emoji tiles change. The preview is a fixed demo panel, not an upload of your own image.
3. Read the filter line under Generated CSS. Only the functions you changed appear in it.
4. Press Reset all to return every slider to neutral, then copy the declaration with Copy CSS.

When to use it

Questions about CSS filter generator

In what order are the filter functions written?

Always blur, brightness, contrast, grayscale, hue-rotate, invert, opacity, saturate, sepia. Filters are applied left to right, so if you want a different order you have to rearrange the copied line yourself.

What does an untouched panel output?

When every slider sits at its neutral value the tool writes filter: none; rather than a list of no-op functions.

Why can the Hue rotate slider start at 0 but never output hue-rotate(0deg)?

Zero-degree rotation changes nothing, so the tool omits it. The same applies to brightness, contrast, opacity and saturate at 100 percent.

Does the filter change layout?

No. A CSS filter alters painting, not layout, though a large blur can bleed outside the element's box and may need overflow hidden on the parent.

Can I preview my own picture?

Not here. The sample panel is built in, so apply the copied declaration to your own image and refine it in your project.
