QR Code Generator

About QR Code Generator

This generator turns a web address, a piece of text, an email draft, a phone number, an SMS or Wi-Fi login details into a QR code you can download as PNG or SVG. It also lets you restyle the code with colors, a gradient, rounded modules and a logo in the middle, which is useful for posters, menus, business cards and packaging.

How to use it

1. Pick a content tab: URL, Text, Email, Phone, SMS or Wi-Fi, then fill in that tab's fields.
2. Open the Colors panel to change Foreground and Background, or switch on the Gradient and choose an end color.
3. Optionally open Logo / Image, upload a picture and set its size between 10 and 38 percent.
4. Open Design & Style to choose the body shape, eye frame and eye ball, then set Error correction, Quiet zone and Output size.
5. Check the live preview, then press PNG or SVG to download the file.

Wi-Fi sharing code

Network name Cafe;Guest, password pa:ss,1, security WPA / WPA2

The text encoded in the code is WIFI:T:WPA;S:Cafe\;Guest;P:pa\:ss\,1;; where the special characters semicolon, colon and comma are escaped with a backslash so phones read the fields correctly.

When to use it

• Printing a link to a menu or booking page on a table card.
• Sharing guest Wi-Fi so visitors join without typing a long password.
• Adding a scannable contact route to a business card using a phone or email code.
• Producing a vector SVG code for a print shop that needs sharp edges at any size.

Questions about QR Code Generator

Which error correction level should I choose?

The default is M, which restores about 15 percent of damage. L is 7 percent, Q is 25 and H is 30. Higher levels make denser codes but survive scuffs, and H is recommended when you cover the center with a logo.

Does the SVG download include my logo and styling?

No. The SVG is a plain vector code that keeps your foreground and background colors, quiet zone and error correction. The gradient, rounded shapes and logo are drawn on the canvas, so use the PNG when you want them.

How much text can it hold?

The Text tab stops at 2000 characters, and a QR code gets denser as content grows. Short URLs make codes that scan quickly even from a distance, so shorten long links when you can.

Why will some styled codes not scan?

Low contrast is the usual cause. Light foreground on a dark background, a pale gradient end or too large a logo all reduce reliability. Dark modules on a light field with a quiet zone of at least 4 scans best.
