Converts WebP to JPG for programs, print services and forms that only take JPEG.
Converts WebP to JPG for programs, print services and forms that only take JPEG. Because JPG cannot store transparency, any see-through area is filled with white before encoding. A quality slider lets you choose between a smaller file and cleaner detail, so you control the tradeoff yourself.
A WebP whose pixel is pure red (255, 0, 0) at 50 percent opacity, converted at quality 85.
The JPG is drawn over a white canvas, so that pixel blends to about (255, 128, 128), a pale red. Fully transparent pixels become plain white (255, 255, 255).
Good to know. Camera details and other metadata stored inside the WebP are not copied. The JPG has only the pixels.
