Image to SVG converts a bitmap into a scalable vector file in one of two ways.
Image to SVG converts a bitmap into a scalable vector file in one of two ways. Trace mode reduces the picture to a set of flat colors and outlines them as real paths, which suits logos, icons and simple artwork. Embed mode wraps the original bitmap in an SVG shell. You control how many colors, how much detail and how much smoothing.
A flat two-color logo at 1600 x 800 px
The logo is downscaled so its longest side is 1000 px, reduced to 16 colors by default, and returned as an SVG with a handful of paths, usually much smaller than a photo trace.
Good to know. Large images are scaled to 1000 pixels on the longest side before tracing, for speed. Everything runs in your browser.

Best for logos, icons, and flat artwork. Photographs will produce a very large file.
