About SVG to Image

SVG to Image renders a vector file into a bitmap at whatever size you need, saved as PNG, JPG, WebP or AVIF. Because SVG has no fixed pixel size, you pick a scale factor, and you decide whether the background is transparent or a solid color. It is the tool for turning a logo or icon into something a slide deck, chat app or social site will accept.

How to use it

1. Drop an SVG file on the drop zone or paste its markup. The detected Source size is displayed below.
2. Pick a Format: PNG, JPG, WebP or AVIF.
3. Drag the Scale slider from 0.25x to 16x. The label shows the resulting pixel width. The starting value is 2x.
4. Adjust Quality for JPG, WebP or AVIF, and choose Transparent background or a solid color.
5. Press Convert, inspect the result badges for pixel dimensions and file size, then Download.

The request would be 32000 x 16000, so the page scales it down to 8192 x 4096 and shows a Clamped to the size limit badge.

Questions about SVG to Image

How does it decide the source size?

It reads the width and height attributes first, falls back to the viewBox, and if neither exists it uses 300 by 150, as browsers do. The line under the input tells you which was used.

Why is JPG asking for a background?

JPG cannot store transparency, so the vector is painted onto a solid color, white unless you change it. PNG, WebP and AVIF can keep a transparent background.

Why does the text look different from my design?

Text in an SVG is drawn with fonts installed on your computer, so a font that is missing gets replaced. Convert text to outlines in your design app first, and the page warns you when it sees text.

Is there a maximum output size?

The longest edge is limited to 8192 pixels and the total to 40 million pixels. Larger requests are scaled down proportionally and flagged.
