Decodes a WebP file in your browser and writes it as a genuine 24-bit Windows bitmap, aimed at older Windows programs and embedded systems that only understand bitmaps. BMP is an uncompressed format, so expect very large files compared with WebP.
A 1600 x 900 WebP file that is around 100 KB.
A genuine 24-bit BMP of that picture would need 1,600 x 3 x 900 + 54 = 4,320,054 bytes, about 4.1 MB. The file this tool saves has exactly that size, because the pixels are stored raw.
Good to know. Animated WebP files give one frame only. The tool never uploads anything; the conversion and the download are both done inside your browser.
