You can fix an aspect ratio, type exact pixel dimensions or scroll to resize, and the output is saved at your original resolution. It is meant for avatars, thumbnails and framing a subject.

The selection snaps to a centered square of about 3000 x 3000 pixels. Moving it left or right chooses which 3000-pixel-wide slice is kept.
Good to know. Cropping produces a lossless PNG, so the file may be larger than a JPEG of the same area. Use the Image Compressor afterward if size matters.
